Giving Thanks for Those We Hold So Dear

Today I am just so grateful for my family. Thanksgiving is behind us and we are on to Christmas. This Thanksgiving was a challenge. I don't want to go into detail as to why, but let me just say that I am so blessed with a wonderful husband, two precious daughters who could not be more perfect in the eyes of their parents, an amazing father and grace mother and an amazing mother and grace father. I know without a shadow of a doubt that I am loved by these amazing people and they know that I love them. It is so very important to convey our love and thanks to those we hold near and dear to us. We can never assume that they know this. We often take those closest to us for granted and this is so very unfortunate, but I do believe the last 5 days that we've endured serve as a reminder to NEVER to take those precious people in my life for granted. To my family, I LOVE YOU. Never, ever question that! :-)

Germany/Paris 2011

So, we had a wonderful trip to Germany and France this summer! Most of our time was in Germany where we reconnected with Mike's extended family. We had such an amazing time there and the weather was PERFECT! It was a great reprieve from our hot weather in Arkansas. The girls loved Germany and they loved getting to meet their German relatives, Oma, Margarete, Klaus, Michael, Tanya, Max,Thomas, Ilse, Manfred, Susanna, Martin, Martina, and Marius. We also spent 4 days in Paris and experienced all of the sights, sounds and food there. My cousin, Eric, and his girlfriend, Donna, live in Paris and we had such a wonderful evening with them at their apartment. This was the best trip EVER. The girls are now world travelers for certain! I've had a difficult time getting pictures to load so I'm going to try again. Sorry if they come in different posts. Hope you enjoy.

Summer Fun

We've had a very hot, steamy summer, but Pop and Grammy came for a visit which just happened to be the coolest week of the summer! We did lots of fun things to take up the time. Pop and Grammy got the girls new bikes so we got to watch them adjust to their new rides! We also traveled to Greer's Ferry and went out on the lake for a day. It was just spectacular! Here are a few snapshots from our week of fun.

Fire Relay at School

Hi everyone, Yes, it's been a VERY long time since I've posted. Today our girls competed in a school-wide relay sponsored by the Conway Fire Department. Both girls were selected by their PE teacher (only 6 per grade level) for their hard work in PE and for their accomplishments on their Physical Fitness Test. They were paired up against another kindergartener and both girls won. But that was not the point as far as we were concerned. We were just so happy that to know that they are doing well in all areas in school. Check out the videos of the girls in their relays! We couldn't have been prouder parents!!! Monica
